The City of Windsor offers ‘bulk collection’ days (two days per zone, per month). Residents must call ahead to book a ‘large item’ collection. There is a cost involved. Please refer to the City of Windsor for more on large item collection information.
Garbage, Large Items, Appliances, and Furniture

Each municipality manages their own garbage contract. For information on municipal garbage collection, you can:
- Refer to your municipal collection calendar.
- Download the Recycle Coach App. This app provides your collection schedule as well as a "What Goes Where" search function.
- Visit your municipal website (links below);
Large Items
A 'large item' is usually a piece of furniture (boxspring, mattress, couch, chair), or something similar. Collection rules differ between the City of Windsor and the County of Essex municipalities.

White Goods (Large Appliances)
White Goods are large appliances (e.g. stoves, fridges, freezers, dishwashers, dryers, etc.). These items can’t go out for regular garbage collection.
